Going to an arcade in the west and going to an arcade in Japan are two very different experiences. Due to the growing popularity of the home gaming console over the last two decades, western arcades are dying. This lack of popularity over the years has caused the western arcade to be less profitable and if they’re earning less money the quality of the arcade is going to go downhill.
The same can’t be said about the Japanese arcade. As most of you may know the Japanese gaming market is huge, it’s one of their biggest exports. The introduction of the home games console has raised the popularity of gaming as a whole and unlike the west this love of gaming spread to arcades...
