Highschool of the Dead Doujinshi

One of the most popular anime of 2010, Highschool of the Dead gave us what we wanted in an anime; Sex, Violence and Zombies. I got into the Highschool of the Dead manga late 2006 and it really became one of those things I really looked forward to reading every two weeks or so. I always thought to myself this would make a really good anime. But it wasn’t till 2009 that some genius decided to turn it into one. In mid 2010 it was aired and it became the most talked about anime going and racked up a huge fan base. Because of this there’s been a big demand for Highschool of the Dead Doujinshi. So whilst on our last trip to Japan we went on a hunt and have brought a large range of Highschool of the Dead Doujinshi back to the UK. Make sure you don’t miss out they’re only available whilst stocks last! We’ve also added the artist name and the circle the Doujinshi was made under and as always all the images on the product pages are very explicit so are only meant to be viewed by over eighteens.http://tokyobookstore.com

Black★Rock Shooter Doujinshi

I am happy to report Tokyobookstore is now selling Black★Rock Shooter Doujinshi. Over the past year we’ve had so many fans coming up to us and emailing us about stocking Black★Rock Shooter Doujinshi. Whilst in Japan we managed to track down these brand new and very sort after Doujinshi, it’s always been at the top of our list of Doujin to look out for and we’ve finally managed to bring you a large selection. We’ve also added several images of the insides of each doujinshi just to give you a taste of what’s inside. (Warning all images are explicit and must only be viewed by persons over the age of 18+) Make sure you don’t miss out on these extremely rare Doujinshi, only available while stocks last.

Tenga on sale at Tokyobookstore!

Due to our continued support from customers at Expo events and Tokyobookstore.com we’re able to offer you guys a wider range of products from Japan. Without a doubt, one of the most interesting things about the Japanese is their ability to be impossibly creative in so many aspects of their day to day life. This can also be said for Japanese adult products and the Otaku market. I feel the west have put this very seedy stigma on sex and the adult market. The Japanese are a lot more relaxed about the adult and Otaku market which has led to some truly unique products. One of the most unique and innovative adult toys we found in Japan is the "TENGA EGG”, a mini “Ona-cup” that’s cleverly disguised as an egg. We’re very fortunate to be offering the full range of Tenga Eggs at Tokyobookstore.com and for a promotional period we’re offering £1 on each Tenga product so make sure to collect the full set of Tenga Eggs while stocks last.

Tokyobookstore back from Japan

We’re back from our winter trip to Tokyo Japan, we had an amazing time staying in Akihabara this gave the trip a completely different feel and experience. Over the upcoming days and weeks we’ll be blogging about our experiences in Japan, upcoming events we’ll be attending as well as getting up some new and exciting products so watch this space!

Tokyobookstore needs you!

Hey guys I know it may seem like we’ve abandoned you the Tokyobookstore readers by not adding new blogs or products to the site in a while. You see we’re in the process of planning and packing for our next trip to Tokyo in early December. To start with we’re going to be staying in Akihabara, ev...ery time we go to Tokyo we always end out spending most of our time in Akihabara anyway so we thought what would be better than actually staying there. Next on the agenda we’re going to be bringing back more stock than ever before, which means we can offer you a wider variety of products that have never been sold in the UK. The most enjoyable thing for us when visiting Japan is seeing how everything changes over the years not just the look and feel but the rapidly changing fads and trends - this is where you come in... read more at: http://tokyobookstore.com

Counting Down the Days till Expo

As you all may know Expo is coming up very soon, we here at Tokyobookstore are very excited and we’re sure all of you that are going are feeling the same. We love Expo because we get the chance to meet our customers face to face and it gives you the chance to give us suggestions on what you would like to see us selling in the future and just have a bit of a chat also.
The MCM Expo is big for us and the weeks and months leading up to it are always very hectic. Which is why we haven’t been able to blog as much as we would have liked, this year has been especially hard because of the amount new stock we’re bringing to
the Tokyobookstore stand. Also for the first time Expo is going to be opening its doors on Friday 2pm till 7pm which is making it a three day event. If you’re going on Friday make sure to visit the Tokyobookstore stand if you want the first pick of our latest stock.
We’ve had a lot of requests to bring a greater range of Yaoi to Expo. As you all know there are a few vendors selling Yaoi at Expo and around the UK but at silly prices, so we wanted to give you Yaoi at the lowest prices in the UK. We’re also bringing Yaoi Manga to Expo a product that we haven’t seen selling in the UK or the rest of Europe. Our range of Hentai Manga has been really popular in the past so we’re sure that you Yaoi fans out there are going to love Yaoi Manga just as much.
A problem that a lot of our customers have found in the past is not being able to find us until the end of their expo, so we’ve included the location of the Tokyobookstore stand. Hentai and Yaoi fans we hope you come track us down as soon as you get through the Expo doors. We’re also going to be selling an extensive range of Anime Art Books and Japanese Magazines.
A lot of people at Expo may not know who we are so that’s why for the first time we’ve put an advert in the MCM Expo newsletter - tell us what you think.

Where’s Final Fantasy XIII Versus?

I’m really wondering if we’re ever going to see Final Fantasy XIII Verses we know almost as much now as we did two years ago. There’s been some talk in Japan over the last few weeks about the release of some new trailers for XIII Verses as well as Final Fantasy XIII Agito ( the other Final Fantasy XIII game which is still to be released). Final Fantasy XIII Versus began development in 2003, by the team responsible for creating the Kingdom Hearts series as well as Final Fantasy VII Advent Children which is years sooner than the development for Final Fantasy XIV. The online version of Final Fantasy XIV for the PC was released last month with dates for the PS3 version set around mid 2011.
The Final Fantasy XIII Versus trailers will most likely feature game play for the first time and if we go by what we see in the XII Versus leaked footage from last month, the graphics will be absolutely gorgeous and looks to be an amazing game we just hope where not speaking about upcoming release dates this time next year. We’ve also added a Final Fantasy 18+ Doujinshi section.

So I’ve started to watch Kannagi

I started watching this series because of its over whelming popularity with the Akiba Otaku community, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I would describe Kannagi as a Perverted Pinocchio Story, without going too in-depth the story focuses a around a male Japanese student who creates a female statue out of wood which later comes to life. Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens is funny and sexy I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good harem anime like Sekirei, Love Hina, Dears etc. Although this series isn’t that well known in the West I predict its popularity to rise over the next few months.

Back to Japan

We’re planning our winter trip to Japan for most likely sometime in November. Around this time I start panicking about learning to speak Japanese. A Few months before I go I start learning Japanese but for one reason or another I stop (usually due to the huge workload sorting through the stock and the rest of the many things I’ve got to do in my daily life), anyway a few months later I’ve forgot everything I’ve learnt and have to start again. The people in Japan (well what I’ve experienced in Tokyo) are lovely and always respect whatever level of Japanese you know and Tokyo’s one of those places you can always get around not knowing much of the language at all but you can feel quite isolated and alone not being able to communicate with anyone and it’s always nice being able to have a bit of a chat with the guy your buying Doujinshi from.
If you want to ask us about stocking some new products that we don’t already sell on Tokyobookstore.com or at one of the events we attend or new types of the products we already sell drop us an email at: tokyobookstore(at)yahoo.com and let us know. We’ve also put up some more photos from our trips to Japan last year.

Yaoi on sale!

If you were going to say Hentai is for guy’s Yaoi would be for girls, obviously that’s not the case but it is the largest request from our lovely female customers at the MCM Expo, so we’re really happy to be able to offer it to our online customers at Tokyobookstore.com too.

Why I like Haruhi Suzumiya

It’s quite a few years back now when I first started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime. I was a bit of an otaku newb back then, my watched anime consisted of a series or two of Bleach and Naruto, a few episodes of Big O and Cowboy Bebop and most likely every series of Pokémon. It was probably around winter 2006 when I first watched the series; I remember being glued in the same spot for about seven hours watching every episode back to back. I think at the time It was the most random and wacky thing I’d seen come out of Japan. Nowadays I’ve seen a lot more anime and have a pretty substantial list of anime that confuse me (Higurashi, Angel Beats and Akikan to name a few, I mean why do they turn into cans? It’s so random), but The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will probably always stick with me because of the way it made me even more interested in Japanese culture.

Our Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya products (Hentai, Yaoi, Art Books and magazines) still remain to be one of our most popular types at Expos and events hope you’ll enjoy our Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 18+ Doujinshi section: http://tokyobookstore.com

New page updates!

At the moment we’re currently going through our Hentai Doujinshi books and listing them in alphabetical order but if there’s any series or types you want to see up there strait away just let us know. You’ll be pleased to know we’ve received more books from Japan and it’s the Yaoi this time. It will take us a while to list them and get them on the website but they are coming soon. For now here are the pages we’ve added.

About our trips to Japan

While we’re in Japan we rarely have a chance to ourselves, shopping and finding the best deals take up most of our time but every now and then we get a chance to relax and do what we want to do. One of my many passions in life is photography so any spare time I have in Tokyo is spent taking photos and eating Japanese sweat (another one of my great passions). This section is a great place to see what we get up to in Japan. I’ve only put up a few quick photos for now more coming soon. About our trips to Japan

We’ll be attending the London MCM Expo in October

We’re really looking forward to the MCM Expo; it’s the largest event we attend in the year. It gives us the chance to have a bigger stand which helps customers view the largest range of stock we have on offer and this year it’s been made even bigger! The MCM Expo will open to the public on Friday which makes it a three day exposition. It’s the first time we’ve attended a three day event which is rather exciting. We look forward to seeing you guys there and a lot of new faces too.
