Justin lee Collins: Turning Japanese is a documentary mini-series about a trip
the comedian/ tv presenter Justin lee Collins took to Japan. Through the three
part series we see Justin exploring the Japanese way of life (old and new) and
the many different subcultures Japan has on show and behind closed doors.
Justin lee Collins: Turning Japanese was created by Channel Five (United
Kingdom). This is by far not the first series of its type in the UK let alone
the rest of the world, I mean the first things that got me hooked on Japan was
probably Pokémon and Jonathan Ross’s Japanorama in the early noughty’s (year
2000 and up). The difference here is that Jonathan Ross is an Otaku, he created
Japanorama because of his love and knowledge of Japan he was never out of his
comfort zone...
